Hi! I'm Tammy Corbin. While driving to work May 30, 1995 I was doing my normal meditation routine and a vision was laid upon my heart. It was very detailed. I was thinking about how difficult life could be just trying to raise three daughters, hold down a full-time job, and trying to keep the home somewhat intact. Thinking how the math, science, history and English I learned in school did nothing to prepare me for "real" life. Nobody told me how hard it was going to be or gave me the tools to deal with it.

So here I was trying to figure it out day by day on my own. I saw the most beautiful vision that really stuck with me… it was a riding arena with attached barn and computer lab; beautiful green pastures. There were ten horses of different breeds and colors. There I was among several people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds, helping them all, one at a time, in whatever way they needed it. The name was even given to me at that time. I remember it being hard for me to interpret if it was supposed to be LIFE 101 like a college course or LIFE! One-on-One… As my mission statement came to be it was apparent the latter was correct.

At this time I had no barn, no horses and only 5.62 acres, so of course I spent the following three weeks talking myself out of any possibility of acting on it. However, I couldn't get it off my mind and finally one day (on the way up the elevator to report to work again!) I caught myself amongst negativity again. I had hundreds of reasons why I couldn't do this! Then, as if smacking me up side the head with a hammer (but in a much gentler way) the Lord put it upon my heart that he wouldn't have given me this vision if he didn't want me to act on it, and even though I had no clue why he would have chose me, I made an "agreement" with him right then and there at that moment in that elevator.

"If you can show me how to do this in the next twenty years I promise I'm all yours. I'll trust you to make it possible."

Well, here I am. Still have 5.62 acres. LIFE! One-on-One has been up and running since the year 2000. Not without trials and tribulations mind you, but what would we learn without those???!!!! We built a 32 x 56 2-stall barn in 2000 and brought home a 24 year-old quarter pony I had been making payments on for 2 1/2 years (and his price was only $500.00 !!!) . A registered Morgan was brought here in May 2000, 2 weeks before the quarter pony died. In October, 2000 I agreed to a free-lease on a registered Appaloosa. An Arabian horse and another stall was added in 2002. A paint horse came along in 2004 and another Morgan came in 2004 also. In 2003 we were limping along, just barely existing around my husband's cancer diagnosis and treatments. Belinda & Herndon Harding came into our lives and we partnered with them Winter 2003, Spring 2004 and Winter 2005 and used their Rail Fence Farm facilities and horses since we had no indoor area at our location. God has truly blessed us!

My program evolves a little more each year. We added a six-stall barn with indoor facility on-site and started using it February 2006. Annie (the saddlebred) came into our lives in October 2005. A huge thanks goes out to Paul Williams and Todd Muller for providing housing for our horses from October 2005 through January 2006 at their Overbrook Morgan Farm facility in Galena, OH. There is testemony upon testemony about every single "coincidence" that has allowed our program to continue and thrive.

Many people have helped me along the way… I consider them God's special army! Please go to my sponsors link to meet some really neat people.

Hope you enjoy your visit at my site! Feel free to check out my "horse resume" and references below!
