2011 HORSE SHOW DATES: -----------(SCROLL DOWN TO BOTTOM OF PAGE TO FIND DIRECTIONS!)

will include ICPHA shows at Hartford Fairgrounds, as well as shows sponsored by

SPHOOH club, usually held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio, and the Licking County Horseman's club, usually held at Infirmary Mound in Newark, Ohio. Call for Dates.

I ENCOURAGE ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS TO ATTEND AT LEAST ONE OF THESE SHOWS TO OBSERVE. THIS WILL HELP ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN FOLLOWING YEARS.

on Gina - farthest horse away- also in great form!)

Pictured to the left is Meg Mathews in her first Lead Line class.

She and Cherry Gina made a pretty pair.

Even the instructor is allowed to have fun once in a while!

Tammy and Fireball worked together on barrels, flags, and potato race....

then Gina showed Tammy how well she could do the Carrot Race!

Rebecca Doeringer shows everybody it is indeed possible to only

practice barrels one time before testing your skills at a horse show!

She not only does it well.... she gets a 6th place ribbon on Gina!

Directions to Infirmary Mound Park

Take Rt. 37 east of Sunbury, through Johnstown and Alexandria. Will turn left on Rt. 161 (still also called Rt. 37)... will follow the exit off 161, following Rt. 37 toward Lancaster (will be a right turn). Just a few more miles and Infirmary Mound Park will be to your left, on Rt. 37. If you come to Rt. 40, where National Trail Raceway is, you've went about 3 miles too far! Turn around! Once inside the park, follow the signs that point to "ARENA" and you'll eventually see horse trailers and a large outdoor ring. That's where the horse show is!

Directions to Mt. Gilead Fairgrounds

Take Rt. 61 North to Rt. 42- Turn right and the fairgrounds is immediately to your left- Take Gate C straight down the hill to the show ring. Look for our white truck and white Avalanche (or white Bison) horse trailer.

Directions to Hartfard County Fairgrounds - Croton, OH

Follow Meredith State Road East off Rt. 3. PASS THE CORBIN HOUSE. At the first stop sign Meredith State Road becomes School Lane Road. Continue straight on School Lane Rd. Next stop you'll go straight, but School Lane Road is now Croton Road. Shortly after this, the road will take a REALLY sharp left curve. Right past the curve will be a road to the right only.... the road sign that says "Lovers Lane" is missing, but there's a small green sign that points out Hartford Fair to the right. Turn right..... this road dead ends. You'll turn right (not well marked, but the road you're turning on is called Fairgrounds Road). The fairgrounds is less than a mile down this road on the left hand side of the road. I believe it's gate D you turn in (whatever the first gate is). You may notice a large white building marked "Wright Arena"... Go to the right of it and you'll see outside ring, barns, etc. The show is in the outside ring (if you don't see anything going on there, look inside the Wright Arena building.... sometimes it may be moved indoors).

Directions to Union County Fairgrounds- Marysville

Take 36 all the way across (thru Delaware) to Marysville.

Turn Right on 33 North (it's a ramp entrance onto a freeway).

Stay in right lane, look for signs to Union County Fairgrounds

Take 1st Exit, which is Rt 4. After exiting the freeway, you'll take Rt 4 North by turning left (towards town). Fairgrounds is not far on the right.

We'll try to park behind the first barn you will see on the right as you pull in.

Directions to Knox County Fairgrounds- Mt. Vernon

Just north of Mt. Vernon on SR3. Fairgrounds Road crosses SR3 at a blinking caution light. The fairgrounds are immediately west of SR 3 on Fairgrounds Road.
